The people building Kraków’s ecosystem are usually the same people with a full inbox and a packed calendar back at the office.
Marcio Costa, Head of Business Operations at IAG GBS and a member of ASPIRE’s Management Board, drives our skills agenda. In the last week of April he walked the full length of Kraków’s skills and innovation pipeline:
→ at IAG GBS, welcoming high school students for their first look inside the GBS sector, before career choices are made
→ at IAG GBS again, hosting career advisors and job placement specialists from Grodzki Urząd Pracy w Krakowie, to connect today’s job seekers to the realities of the sector
→ at the Startup Poland Kraków launch, in the room where the city’s innovation ecosystem is being shaped
On the day of the student visit, he was also sworn in as an ASPIRE representative on the Kraków Business Council.
Next on the agenda: ASPIRE’s HR Work Group was due to begin mapping our next data project, the ASPIRE Skills Barometer, which moves the conversation beyond headcount to what centres deliver and what they need to deliver more.
What other members can take from this: the pipeline can be reached directly. Open your centre to school students before they choose their path, and to the advisors who guide today’s job seekers. To do the same at your centre, write to joinus@aspire.org.pl.
Thank you to Marcio, and to IAG GBS for being the kind of organisation that makes this possible.
